You can use the internet speed test to measure the speed of your internet connection. This test is available for free on the web and is a good way to find out how fast or slow your connection is.
The most common way to test your internet speed is by using an online tool such as Speedtest. The test works by sending data from one computer to another and back again. By measuring how long it takes for these bits of data to travel back and forth, it’s possible to calculate how quickly they’re moving through your network.
There are a number of factors that can affect how fast or slow your internet connection is, so it's worth trying these tips before blaming your ISP if you're not getting the speeds you were expecting:
Don't use public Wi-Fi networks, especially when doing anything that requires high bandwidth like streaming video or downloading large files. These networks are often slower than wired connections and can be subject to random outages.
How can you check your internet speed from different server locations?
There are many tools available to test the speed of your internet connection. Here are some good ones:
Pingtest - PingTest is a free online ping (or network latency) tool that measures the time it takes for network packets to travel between your computer and a destination router. PingTest will determine whether your Internet service provider is performing to its published specifications and will report on the quality of their connection in regards to packet loss, jitter and other network performance metrics.
Speedtest - Speedtest measures your Internet bandwidth (speed) by downloading and uploading different sizes of files to determine how much bandwidth is being used for uploads versus downloads. This website provides an easy way to test if your computer’s Internet connection is capable of downloading and uploading data at the speeds advertised by your ISP. It also shows historical graphs of speeds over time.
How to check your upload speed?
To check your upload speed, you need to first open a web browser. Then, go to https://www.speedtest.net/.
It is important that you do not close the tab until the test is completed.
The website will load a page with a large button labeled "Speed test." Click on that button and wait for the page to load in the browser window.
After the page loads, click on "Begin Test" at the top of the page. The test will start automatically and you will see a progress bar indicating how far along it is in completing its task. This can take anywhere from 30 seconds to two minutes depending on your connection speed and server availability.
The results of this test should be displayed in two different ways: (1) as text on your screen and (2) as a graph next to it showing how fast your connection is capable of downloading data (the vertical axis).
Tutorial:

- After installing the extension, click on the icon on the toolbar.
You can check your internet speed right away. If you are constantly facing slow Internet issues, it might be time to have a talk with your Internet Service Provider to see what technical issues you may be facing.
